Maybe that question sounds a bit stupid, but: Do all these cheering people now have free electric energy in their homes? Or do they still pay their electricity bills?

Zeit, in your circuit put load in place of A and then put capacitor between 2670 AC coil and end of spark. When spark occurs earth wants to fill the capacitor with charge and when it does that it powers the load also. Should be interesting and easy to do experiment.


Also check Utkin's remarks on asymmetric capacitors and sparks. I played with those when I was still fiddling with mains. Got one hell-of-a-bang when I shorted bunch of caps after they were 'loaded' from the ground. Lost my hearing for a moment lol. Then I decided it was not safe enough to continue that route for a person like me.

Interesting and easy to do.

A given spark gap fires in dependency of the wave form. For example, it can fire right on the peak of the sine wave. This is exactly what a thyristor also can do. So instead of using a noisy and erratic working spark gap we should perhaps use a pair of solid thyristors - like already seen in some curious videos.

We know from the Stepanov workshop video there is a LC circuit. It is a parallel LC circuit because a 3-phase capacitor cannot be connected in series with a 3-phase transformer. We know from the Kapanadze bedroom video that the load is connected with one side directly to ground. Since the load is also connected to the LC circuit that LC circuit has to be also connected with one side to ground. The result is a big Crystal Radio circuit; if one likes that or not.

All whats left to do is to replace that simple antenna of that Crystal Radio with something that has a bit more efficiency.
