Well we are usually non-linear heterodyning with a fixed reference frequency. 
Pherhaps this also works when the target frequency is much lower then the reference frequency...nothing say's it's any diffrent exept that it's lower or higher...

That 500 kHz value is interesting, can not hurt to try it.
I believe though that the frequency to drive the system is probably very much dependent on the coil dimensions and different in each build.

Hey RomeroUK, you are busy and far too many people are asking you to try things, I guess if people had more faith in their ability to replicate your setup they could try it themselves.

Anyway I feel compelled to suggest something (to you or anyone with a setup), I know you aren't a fan of theories but I suspect that the stray flux from the MOT may be enhancing the energy received in the coil and the antenna like wire heading to the distant grounds.

And that trying a NST may fail due to less flux leaking, but if you were to run a MOT in parallel (maybe loading the output a bit) with an NST you might find you get more energy, as you might be adding another MOT in parallel (even though it's HV is not connected to the experiment).

You might also find that any large and perhaps loaded electric motors run near it might enhance the effect.

It's not a certainty but I do have a lot of reason to suspect this can be, I think that some leaky or open circuit ferro/ferite core is required for success with these kinds of circuits.

Also another way is to power a motor or buzzer of other flux creating device via a transformer or dual caps (but either way preferably isolated) from the output of this so it may help increase the energy, in other words power isolating flux producing loads for more power out.


note to Bolt's post below: Some FE devices output DC without diodes or anything to rectify, conventionally this in inexplicable since you can't make a DC induction only AC, even pulsed DC input creates an AC output. So I agree.  That is not to say that some frequencies aren't beneficial, Prentice got more out at 500khz.

Still looking for "magic" spot frequencies. I say again its not important. OU can be tapped from Hz to Gigs. If not how do you explain a 1 ground OU device or groundless like the TPU? The fact that certain wave events occur at certain frequencies are not in themselves the source of energy.

What about air cap casimir dipole? No earth as Don Smith device operating frequency is Ghz. Wavelength is millimeters. Where is the source wave now?

Method to reach OU is pretty much universal despite operating frequency.

"Prentice got more out at 500khz." of course he did the higher the frequency the more joules pumped per second. Back in the day 500khz could always be achieved with relative ease by a spark gap but going over 1 meg or higher got a bit more difficult. This is why Don Smith uses 25khz NST's it high enough to do whatever you need off the shelf parts. If you want more power then step up the volts to 50kv or 100kv etc using coils. Now you have more potential joules the trade off is finding components that can handle extreme voltages.
