For people using any  file share  services :
DO NOT  import any file  from any service  at all if you can.
Personal data stored in files uploaded is often left unencrypted and do not get deleted
That is good to spot the sender, but  most of the time,  the sender doesn't care about an exposure  of  his fake  identity.
but your own  identity  stamp is  likely  immediately send back
File received  should come from reputable sender  using reputable transfer  company


An anonymous sender attracts you with some files, he do not want to publish because he needs you to download it.
It is a bait  allowing sooner or later collect identity of all  participants of given group or forum  who downloaded that  likely useless file.
If something is for free you need to understand why?
Once  extracted  file sits in your own computer often  acting  as a beacon - and  from now the  recipient is on the hook 
VPN  will not help any longer .
