  Tariel on multiple occasions has stated an interruption rate on the order of one million. I have read the stories of Tesla reaching two million. It has been my understanding that Tesla achieved this rate with large magnetic quenching. Tesla's 'circuit controllers' where of the mechanical break style so I would imagine that his spark gap was on the secondary circuit off the circuit controller.

  Looking at Tariel's devices there are only two that the spark gap is visible. Both devices do not appear to have any quenching whatsoever. Actually the 'Green box' unit appears to have an 'arc' and not a 'spark'.

  So from a standpoint of interruptions how would one know if they are creating one million, two million, or six hundred thousand?
  Also how would one achieve one million interruptions with modern day components?
