I could not agree with you anymore here. Unfortunately the book ' Secrets of Cold War Technology' by Gerry Vassilatos is nothing but fiction. As an example there is no such thing as Tesla's Stout copper wire circuit. That circuit is called 'Lecher arrangement' Tesla did not create it as mentioned in the book. Lecher advanced the study of the Hertz resonator along with a few others. It is a bit of a disgrace for some to take Lecher's hard work and give the credit to Tesla. An even bigger disgrace is calling it the 'Hairpin' that's just plain queer.

   Additionally, I wrote a paper called "debunking Vassilatos" with all the references some years ago specifically against the false statements made in that book that shows how Vassilatos blatantly inserted false information to create the base of a whole theory from thin air which has no resemblance to the truth. If anyone is interested I have attached it FYI. Be aware that Peter Lindemann is into the same ship aswell.

Here is a pic of mine. Might explain some of those wires going inside the core huh? I think people need to have a look at tungsten and more than a single electrode. The cascade may also explain the xray emission I suspect is happening. 50KV will do the deed.

I have never heard this story but a similar one I have. About 4 or 6 weeks ago I was watching Discovery channel the program was about a very dry summer that occurred in the 'Mid-west' (US). It was so dry that sparks would shoot off the barb wires fences right to ground. You could not touch anything metal for fear of getting a bad shock. Unfortunately I can not remember the actual name of the program at this time I will have to Google it to site a reference.

I grew up in the midwest and I have seen weather phenomena you would not believe. Sometime s the air is so dry it hurts to breath through your nose and yeah, the static is horrible.

Lightning storms that sent me to the basement and I am quite fearless when I comes to stuff like that. I slept through a tornado that missed my tent by 30 feet. 

Calm sunny day not a cloud in the sky and in 10 seconds wind speed of 134 MPH. Almost impossible to stay put laying flat on the ground. 80 degree temp change in a few hours.

Serious weird weather stuff. The weather there will kill you and I have known several people that died from it. I moved to Oregon where the weather is quite mild for that reason.

Anyway, you want tungsten electrodes.
