about the capacitors.
i could not find the exact values either, but very close to them, the high voltage high value caps are very expensive, i bought a 16kv 20000pf cap for 17 pound on ebay.co.uk, best i could get..
and for the variable caps i had a variable air capacitor with capacitance up to 1 nanofarad, so i immersed it into mineral condenser oil and i gained an extra 1 nanofarad,
immersing it in oil will make it usable for high voltage experiments as sparks cant jump across plates.

anyone with links for hv diodes? those high value ones are a bit deer...

Regarding the variable capacitor, I am wondering that if the TK coil itself with the first layer Caduceus Coil (input) and the outer wound bucking coil mode (output). If the Caduceus coil was made so that it can be inserted into the outer coil layer, then this should act as the variable setting and negate the requirement for the variable capacitor. Has anyone tried this.

@Wattsup: I have been trying to see a bucking coil secondary like in Stivep's group device in any TK device or let's just pick the latest TK device.
Maybe you can help me see where you have identified a bucking coil secondary in that device? That would be very helpful.
The coax cable winding at least can not be called secondary, because it is being driven by the HV ignition module which makes it in any case a primary winding.
I also cannot see any input cables going into the caduceus coil which you termed "input".
