i have made so many iron powdered parts... they surely have a low eddy loss, you have to attach magnets to the still malleable magnetite+polyester resin mixture, the particles will combine this way, they can be magnetized very fast, but their magnetization strenght is not as good as of ferrites.

Thank you for information.I'm using the same type of ferrite from old TV tube , synchronization coil.I was however lucky to find not segmented one. For my purpose it's however quite bad because you cannot wind tight coil around it due to different diameters.I hope for your device it is fine but mine is much more complex.I'm looking for something like this but with both diameters (upper and lower) the same.Elevation is important.
Do you know what ferrite type is this core ? Is that suitable for Mhz range ?

Ferrite from old TV - ОС-90.38ПЦ12 Obviously we do not know what material properties are there. Also i found circuit of one those TV sets: http://km1001.narod.ru/Lapey_web/Lapey.htm

Aidas picked up this ferrite from TV display tube because it has high enough resonant frequency. Lower frequency ones just gone split to pieces after 15-20 mins of usage.


P.S> If someone could analyse this ferrite, it would be very useful to find similar one.

The ferrite shown by @aidas is a yoke ferrite taken off the computer monitor or TV cathode. I had done some good testing with this during the days with @otto. One of mine got so hot it burned permanent marks on my desk. So if you are testing this yoke ferrite to replace the flyback, I will be very interested in the results.
