Talk about impulses, in my continuing QUEST FOR FLYBACK, I just purchased two of these on eBay. It seems to fit the bill perfectly and the guy has 7 more left if anyone has some interest. I purchased two because I know how lucky I am with pulsing things to hell and back.

The PCGU1000 FG and the PCSU1000 Multi-Function O Scope ARE USB based BUT they have there OWN power supplies drawing from the AC outlet.  They are NOT drawing power from your computer.

I am wrong about this above info.  My PCSU arrived and it is entirely powered by the usb from my computer.   Even if I had a external powdered usb hub it would only draw a small bit of power.  AND the PCSU is ONLY a O scope and Spectrum Analyser      ......no FG/SG....guess it is build time.   I should have went with the DSO 203 even with the low bandwidth.  This is a set back but not a show stopper.   At least it IS a storage scope and SA and I found it has a transient recorder as well. (can record up to one year's transients.)  lol   At least the data logger will come in handy on the Ni-Cu reactor project.  So your speculation is warrented.

This is video of successful tuning
We have been able to tune to max sinusoidal.
the only problem we have had that instead of second generator we have used
small 9V transformer to get 50Hz.
The end of signal was in the right magnitude but was not pure sinus because we could not variate frequency of 50Hz +/-
As we did not have second generator on hand ( broken)

But we have learn that
-thickness of  U shape winding is important.
-Ferrite material is important
-recommended wire is not stranded but  solid wire.
