Yes and no...  What he says and what he means - little different The exact translation would be: "The bulb is not connected to anything, just a simple sheet of paper. The other end is laying here on the flour not connected. i.e. the bulb is not connected to anything and shinning".
So by saying that it "is not connected to anything" he clearly point out to the metal "antenna", saying that this is "simple sheet of paper".
So the connection is: coils separate from bulb with one end free and another connected to standing metallic plate.

As all you already noticed that I newbie here in the forum as well quite a newbie in circuits, electrical thing etc. But could you stand me just for a little and point me out the real challenge related to this project. I haven't tried to replicate also, but I really want to, and I will try, but first - the question, that I didn't quite understand.

If we take into account Tesla Coil (Tesla transformer) there we have 2 coils: primary and secondary. If we will input high voltage impulses at the correct frequency to primary coil we achieve resonance, that produces (much) higher frequency and (much) more volts on secondary coil.

The question is quite simple: What is the problem with this?
From my point of view, there might be two general problems: is to provide input for the primary coil or use output from secondary coil.
   - As for the input - is it hard to generate required frequency impulses (because they hard to find, they vary depending on load on secondary coil, they varying for unknown reason), find correct windings for the coil, some heating problems or what?
   - As for the output - problems with measuring the result, use of produced high frequency AC, very high voltage or something else?

As I was searching the net, I found quite a few even step by step videos how to create Tesla coil, so it seems, that there shouldn't be problems with the input, but somewhere deep inside I have a doubt about that. If there is some problems - what are the they?

Sorry again for such a newbie question, but I would really appreciate if someone would dedicate some time for me and would explain (or point out the recourses where should I look).

About this "sheet of paper" - it's not a translation mistake, cause guy says "Лампа у нас никуда не включена. ПросÑ,ой лисÑ, бумаги и провод лампы валяеÑ,ся на полу"

So "sheet of paper" MAYBE means sheet of metallic paper, that is rather usual thing in russia.
