Ah, so no gas, just vacuum.  Brilliant.  I never did believe in the gas theory.

Bill, just because they call them 'vacuum' tubes doesnt mean they have a hard or soft vacuum.  It's a term.  Same how they make light bulbs.  They REPLACE the oxygen (which is counter productive) with an inert gas like Xenon or Argon thereby 'evacuating' the oxygen.

There IS a GAS in there.  Just not oxygen.

If you ever want a hope of figuring something out yourself, don't wait to be spoonfed some nonsense by people posting erroneous pictures and videos with dubious claims.  ASK the why's and wherefores and reason it out.

Shokac has nothing more than a Gray Tube with a spark gap working on the PRINCIPLES of a Vacuum tube but it is not OU by itself and it still requires an input.

Do any of you understand the principles of vacuum tubes??  Certainly not those that are running off and thinking they are any more efficient than modern day semiconductors!!!  Why do you think they made modern semiconductors in the first place and chucked the old vac tubes away???  OMG, never in these forums has a truer word been spoken that " A little knowledge is truly a dangerous thing".

If you don't know the PRINCIPLES of how to CONSERVE energy so as to create an over efficient device, you will certainly not be able to accomplish it with a antiquated vacuum tube.
