Oxygen is very flammable, and mixed with HV, mini "Boom!"  Oxygen is atomic number 8.  So.o.o better would be Nitrogen, which is "inert" or non flammable and 70 percent of our atmosphere is made up of the stuff, or neon, which is atomic number 10.  Or, make your own with sodium, also inert, at atomic number 11.

I would still run a low resistance wire to ground, for negative electrons.  Would improve output dramatically I believe.  Flow is Negative to positive.  So the more negative electrons available, the greater the output.  The "earth" would have a limitless supply.

Negativ is conected only to source and to ground, but positive conected to coil (free ions maker) and collect free electrons from air with HV discharged or from ozon coil tube.

Free electrons maker is AC HV, but out is DC 300-400V.
