About that circuit, I stopped going further because I am having trouble figuring out which way the zeners should point and the other two diodes as well. Is it possible to indicate this better. I mean, I think I know how they should go but I just wanted to make sure. Also, why is there no flyback return diode going to the battery +. Why does it have to return via the 470 ohm resistor? Seems to me the zeners should land directly on the B+ and not on the gate. I will wait in case there are any changes to that circuit. maybe you can explain the uses for all those components including the D1 to D4.

Perhaps a real schematic will help you with component polarities.

There is no flyback diode because the purpose of this circuit is to create a flyback pulse - not to kill it.
Also, one of the transistors (Q1 or Q2) is always conducting, thus the circuit is never opened.

The 470 ohm resistors limit the current that charges the gates since too much gate current can damage them.
The 10K resistors pull the gates down to ground in order to prevent latchup - a process in which the MOSFETs get stuck in the ON state.
The D1, D2 Zener diodes clamp the MOSFET gates to ground when the voltage across them exceeds 12V (more than 20V usually damages the gates permanently). This prevents the gate voltage from exceeding its maximum rating, hence protecting the transistors.
The D3, D4 diodes pull the gates down to ground when the voltage on the opposite leg of the LC tank (C1+Primary) is at ground.

Do you have more info of this flyback driver ? How the scope shot would look like at HV side and what is the frequency it locks on ? on what is that frequency dependent ?

Thats never gonna work. Tesla said a capacitance discharge needs to be involved. This discharge must be one way. You fill then exhaust or dump the charge trough a passage way. The bifilar is put around the discharge and it collects the full spectrum and orients in a one way direction. you can shield the wire going to the discharge element with aluminum covering the wires. This creates a static shield and doesn't allow the environment from interacting with the pulses. Like a wave guide we can induce it to stay purified until we want it to interact with the environment. Tesla was known to use this process to shield the wires from interacting until he wanted it to do so, this is also shown in the high frequency light lectures he talks about this process. The entire motor was designed with hydrodynamics in mind as well. Remember copper and aluminum act differently to each field. And that only enhances this procedure.


It could be aluminum wiring in the field coils could enhance the voltage portion of the spectrum. Where copper reacts with current capabilities. Use the right wire in the right place and it enhances it more. Aluminum=voltage=emitter field and copper=current=collection field.
