And that is very significant. 
I think that somewhere in this thread I already calculated the volume of space, that state-of-the-art lithium thionyl chloride batteries, would require to deliver this kind of energy.
These batteries have the energy density of 1.2kWh / dm³ and that calculates to 7.5dm³ for 9kWh.

If I were you, I would have asked for the mechanical motor device with an open base and open bearing pedestals.

So there is a shift in time involved here? Interesting (but maybe just a translation error).

That's just a spiel that TK has tells journalists.  Sometimes he talks about Tesla tech and sometimes about gravity and sometimes time.
BTW: I believe that electric and magnetic field is caused by a 1D or 2D lag (respectively) of matter shifted in time.

I will use that opportunity to plug my idea and mention that a strong & short spark is a good method to produce many frequencies at once, so that one of them stimulates beta current by NMR in magnetically polarized matter (such as copper or brass) according to the Shotgun Approach.

Interesting! So its conceivable that he had enough 'black box' volume to accommodate these batteries, especially if the 4.5 hours running time was grossly exaggerated, or there was a re-charge cycle part way through.
