Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

But you have to admit that it's tidy and pretty.

Yes, no doubt to impress the investors  ;D

The lower waveform leads the upper one by approximately 30ยบ and is clipped with a slightly increasing linear ramp.  Besides the clipping, the lower waveform appears more triangular than sinusoidal and slightly less in amplitude but equal in frequency.

Dear Verpies,

Many thanks for your reply. This started earlier today with a view to looking at what Hoppy was doing. Believe it or not the lower trace is what my incoming supply looks like!! Upper trace is from my Signal generator. Any thoughts as to what could cause such a deformed sine wave?

Bit of background. I am rural and our little hamlet of 4 properties is fed by an 11Kv 2 phase pole transformer rated at 24 Kva. I think the poor old trannie is under stress!!

Cheers Grum.

Rectifiers followed by filter capacitors, as in front-ends of cheap computer power supplies, etc... (they draw power only at the peaks of the sine wave).

Grum,

I think this could also be the result power factor issues, which distort the waveform and cause problems for the generating companies

Evening Hoppy,

What I set out to do earlier on was to look at the effect of placing a 0.5 mFd cap across the 24 V secondary. And all I saw was this flat topped sine wave!! Moving on is there any point to me progressing further with this line? Do you see any virtue?

Cheers Grum.
