Single thought provoking question ??

Does anyone see the reasoning behind driving the device with an Hydraulic motor ?? I have worked alongside many surface grinders in my time the noise becomes unbearable after a while.

So there must be a REALLY good reason for using this form of drive ??

Hallo all,  Mainly a question for Andy King21, but anyone else can help out.  The first coil arrangement on my version of Tariel's setup was mainly done by a guy I had to help out.   I don't want to take it apart or mess with it at all, with the hopes that it doesn't stop working.  I am making a new coil for my new CDI that I bought and I am trying to use Coax Cable.  I have the shielded type, but can also go and buy the unshielded coax if this won't work to good.  If you know what type Kapanadze used it would be very helpful.   I also need help in finding the best way to find the right way of finding the resonant point in using coax cable.  Since there are different types of resonance which I need current resonance.  Is there a different way of finding resonance when using Coax cable, either shielded or unshielded?  Also would the natural resistance and capacitance of the coax cable make cause for finding the resonant point of the coax cable different than finding it when using regular copper tubing and/or wire??? 

Also I think You guys are on the right track with coil shorting...  I think that pancake coils are a great plus when you  make Impulse currents/Surge currents/switching surges...  ect...

PS..  I am not 100% sure on this, but when finding the resonant frequency of the resonant LC circuit different when using impulse frequency instead of AC Frequency??

Look what Tesla is doing here he's shorting the bifilar wound secondary using a rotary spark gap.
Tesla also used two transformer's not directly connected but through capacitors, the load is not reflected back to the prime mover.
We can build this 
The energy in the first transformer is being conserved, no current actually passes to the second transformer the second transformer's primary is just being excited, but no induction or current transfer is taking place.

What did Tesla say "The future is mine" if you want to hide something you hide it in plain sight.
The oil pumping system is a nice distraction and was probably needed using iron transformers, imagine what he would have done with ferrite.

There is no "bi-filar" coil in that patent that I can see, the spark gap is connected in parallel with the Secondary S.

I think what that Patent http://www.google.com/patents/US514168 is all about is he is showing an arrangement capable of continuous operation due to (active cooling), so as to reliably produce the very high frequencies and power required in some of his other patents.
