45 DEGREE MAGNET TRACK

Hi All,

Here is a very powerful 45 degree ceramic block magnet track that is easy to build if you have a little time. Air spaces between magnets is a no no.

I can roll a long heavy round neo magnet down this track at a great speed.

Sure it has the same old problems as most all magnet tracks have. Cursed sticky spots on both tracks ends.

I have made many different configurations of magnet tracks but found this particular one the most powerfull of all of them.  Thought I would share it.  Red is north polarity. Blue is south polarity.

I only wish I would have made it 3 times longer as I believe the center of the track might have many later potential uses for making a motor device operational.  A runner roll can be started anywhere on the track. A runner will roll uphill to a point also.

Its worth building and enclosing it in a plywood framework.

Hi Mag.

How about using a Hula Hoop track? it would allow the ball to bank better I would assume.

Hi,

Unable to "bend" the track into a circular form.  If someone is able to cut ceramic block magnets without destroying them they might be able to cut a large "1/2 circle" out of them.

On the "insides" of this 1/2 circle they could install 5 rod magnets all connected to a center shaft that is free to turn on its single axis.

Now all that is left is to extend a straight track from each end of the one half cut magnet circle track.

The straight sections ends where the sticky spots live now should extend far away from the revolving rod magnets.  Track now would look like a reversed "C" with a greatly extended top and bottom leg.

Remember before where I said the center of this track might be usefull?

  Also I know for a fact that I can push through any track end sticky spot by placing five rod magnets on the track at the same time.  I already did that using the small track configuration as you saw it on U tube.

Figure what will happen if a long track and revolving rod magnets were constructed as above. 
  Should work.  3 rods on the track while 2 free spin.
Thats a dream I have but do not have a way to cut ceramic magnets 45 degrees in a circular form.

Hi Paul,

I have made many versioins of Calloways V track and even contacted him with questions.  The 45 degree track is the most powerfull track I ever experimented with to date.   I have constructed many TOMI tracks and staggered tracks also. A lot of those tracks fail or weaken in the center and runner action stops.  Also a lot of them wont pull up a incline.  If you need to experiment with any magnet track this one is highly recommended by me. I try different magnet combinations on it daily to see if I can get something to rotate.  I am exploring something interesting right now.
