Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

The latest unemployment figures for the month of September will be released Friday, but the jobless rate is not expected to significantly improve. And next year, leading up to the fall elections, the unemployment rate is expected to climb to its highest level since 1940.
I agree.  It'll be worse, sooner, though.  Europe is a thorn in their own sides as well as ours.  Then, there's the new devlopment of the 'Occupy Wall street' movement.  It's spreading to other cities like Syria and Libya did.  I don't know if it'll get ultra-violent like they did.

I have one, too.  Compared to more substantial knives, it's weak and tame.  I'd like a longer one.  I'm 6'2", so I'm looking for reach.  ('Big_m' is part of my handle for a good reason.)    ::)
A pawn shop will also do and it might be cheaper.

About stashing money, you can't eat a dollar bill.  Cans and staple items are much more useful, as long as you're careful about hiding it.  That's what I meant about a large group acting like 'Night of the Living Dead' wannabes.  If they know you have what they want, you need a machine gun and a helluva lot of ammo.

I'm merely a theoretical electronics engineer/technician for now, since I have no extra money for experimentation, but I was a professional electronics/computer technician in the past.
As a result, I have a lot of ideas, but no hard test results to back them up---for now.  That could change if I get a job locally in the Bay Area of California.

I saw in the newspaper today a story on how the jobless and the desperate are crowding up on craigslist to try to find some work. That is what I have seen in St.Louis.North and south st.Louis people are trying to get odd jobs to make a little money.I know that right now cash is king. But when is a good time to unload cash?Other than right before the government makes it worthless. If you cant eat cash you can at least burn it in the fireplace for warmth.I saw that on a movie where an ice age was raging in the usa.Good point about being able to eat.More people should learn to grow food.Apt dwellers and everyone should focus on growing more food.A good cook is rarely unemployed.Unless they want to be.Anything to do with food might be a good area for young people to look into?triffid

I would just hate to see the banks two trillion in cash wiped out overnight by our government.Likewise on the big companys two trillion in cash sitting on the sidelines.Just think ,four trillion in cash wiped out to zero overnight by the stroke of a pen!!!.Hyperinflation has already happened in the usa twice!
United States
During the Revolutionary War, when the Continental Congress authorized the printing of paper currency called continental currency. The monthly inflation rate reached a peak of 47 percent in November 1779 (Bernholz 2003: 48). These notes depreciated rapidly, giving rise to the expression "not worth a continental."
A second close encounter occurred during the U.S. Civil War, between January 1861 and April 1865, the Lerner Commodity Price Index of leading cities in the eastern Confederacy states increased from 100 to over 9,000.[30] As the Civil War dragged on, the Confederate dollar had less and less value, until it was almost worthless by the last few months of the war. Similarly, the Union government inflated its greenbacks, with the monthly rate peaking at 40 percent in March 1864 (Bernholz 2003: 107).[31]

Here is the story on the second time in a century the german mark became worthless in 1946.
The Deutsche Mark

Following the fall of the Third Reich, the German economy lay in ruins. In order to prevent Western Germany from hyperinflation, excessive bartering, and a large black market, the Western Allies implemented a new currency called the Deutsche Mark. The Deutsche Mark would replace the previous German currency, Reichsmark and Rentenmark, which was worth nothing. Old currency could be exchanged at three different rates according to specific situations. One situation was for essential currency, such as wages, payment of rents etc., at a rate of one Deutsche Mark for one Reichsmark. The second situation was for the remainder of money in private non-banks credit balance. This came at a rate of one Deutsche Mark to ten Reichsmark. The third situation was for large sums of money. In this situation ten Reichsmark could be exchanged for 65 pfennig (100 pfennig equaled one Deutsche Mark). Also every citizen received 60 Deutsche Mark per capita allowance to help get back on track.

The introduction of the Deutsche Mark made the Soviets extremely mad, because they thought this was the Western Allies trying to gain control of Germany. After the Deutsche Mark hit the streets in West Germany the Soviets closed all roads, canals, and rail to Berlin, leading to the Berlin Blockade.
