The CEO's are right.   The Gov't is still borrowing more and more money.
There's something else:
Larger independent 'box' stores like big cut-rate dollar stores, furniture stores, warehouse-type stores that retail to the public are going out of business in greater numbers here in San Francisco.
That's not all:
One store manager said over the phone to an associate, "I'm getting scared.   Last Christmas there were a lot more people in here to shop.   It's dead this year.   Other stores say the same thing."

It's taken some time to get this far in the economy, but there is an end, somewhere.
