Look at this!!   I hit the "jackppot" and post Reply #2500 for this thread!          I do see a lot of people look at the thread, with nearly 170,000 hits.

triffid, I did see two women, one sitting on her butt and the other walking slowly, screaming for someone to give them money to buy food with.   One of them was told by a bystander to shut up and she, essentially, told him to go to hell with vulgar language.   So, one of the women brought some of her problem with starvation on herself by her piss-poor attitude.   I don't know about the other one.   I never saw either one again in that part of town (the slum/red light area).
       So to reply to your assertion that no one is starving in St. Lois, I say it's getting bad here (in S.F.) and the destitute are starting to feel it bad.

I have a carving knife and a honing stone to resharpen it with.   So do a lot of people, though.

Yeah, true!   The country is getting that way: Fearful and angry.

Shooting down a N. Korean missile may frighten the N. Koreans into believing that the U.S. can wipe them out any time they want (plausible;  assuming!! the U.S. has secret stockpiles of nuclear weapons.)
       My point is: This rumor of a possible anti-missile shoot-down scenario can have bad consequences for a lot of people if the actual shoot-down attempt is successful.
