I plan to stockpile some food, tell no one that food is "here" and send them out to the woods to trap ,hunt,and fish.Tell them how easy it is.all it takes is a hook and a worm.As far as people eating each other,maybe it does taste like chicken?Need more salt?triffid

Wow, thank you!   Either you're deliberately looking at previous posts to support what you assert, or your memory is excellent!   I don't know which.   I admit you're correct.   You hadn't asked any question.   Can't really care, though.   We've agreed that each other disagreed on a lot of things.   Obviously.          
       But you did ask, on this thread...remember that?!?!...when was the "collapse" I 'predicted'(my parentheses) was coming?   I don't like Dr. No(wak), the neo-Nazi, but his and his group's prediction that the dollar would be worth 2-3 cents and tat the New World Order would begin rounding up people like the Nazis did before and during WWII had validity as a rumor.   Rumors can turn out to have some truth sometimes.   I'd say, late Winter to early Spring at the latest.   Are you smart enough to realize that anything whatsoever is possible in that time frame?   It's a rumor, or equal to it.   You know this?   My opinion, though.   You actually realize that predictions like these also contain some conjecture?   Right?

...and what will you do when your stockpile runs out?  you will have to either trap, fish, hunt for or grow your own food... or take it from someone else. or are you assuming that our infrastructure for those supplying those things to the ignorants will remain in place and after a month or two things will return to 'normal'?

I said I had 'an escape plan.'   Food is part of it.   I also said you're not included.   I'm limiting my response the staying on the subject for your evidently, to me, one track mind:  I have information you don't.   I can be wrong, however.   I'm being vague on purpose.   The reason for that is also part of the longer answer.   I'm telling you this for my reason(s).   
       For the second part of your paragraph, no, I can't remember---in such a long thread---whether I said that things were going to "return to normal" or not.   That never did sound like a plausible scenario.   I did remember saying the current American Administration was doing similar things to what the Roman Empire before it collapsed early in the 5th Century.   This world civilization will, too, for, as I said, similar reasons.   That's what triffid and myself have been doing for about 2 yrs: Telling people and showing coping strategies.

I started a secret garden back in 1992.Everytime I have looked it was still there.They just look like sunflowers and the land is not mine.I also have a good knowledge of edible wild greens.Add duckweed to that list.It grows in the water.Dandelions are everywhere and you can eat them,make a coffee from the roasted roots.triffid
