MC,I think I read somewhere about people making their own lightbulbs and,vacuum tubes on their own.I do think a JT might not be the way to go since it can switch on and off 60,000 times a second depending on the values of the components.Tommey Reed here on OU.com got 26 volts dc using a bridge rectifier.Without a JT.triffid

Careful theres a trojan horse virus at http://rensseak.bplaced.net/vlf.zip. I went there and my antivirus program saved me.Avast.com is what I use and its free.

Okay, I will check it. I no longer pay attention so much on it because I use a Linux operating system.

I did check with https://www.virustotal.com and it shows me different results with different anti virus progs. What do you think now?
