This is still in  the developmenmt stage but  it looks like  it has some  potential

There is nothing yet about how it is powered........but I am guessing that there  is a metallic layer  or 2 to distribute the power

I am guessing that if there is  2 metallic layers I am guessing that if we  grounded one of the layers we could light this  stuff wirelessly with a SEC or something similar.

Well, they are now making LED head lights for cars. Guess
you can do away with regular bulbs altogether now in cars.
This would be great for background and say hall lightings.
Just need to formulate the correct light frequencies so as
to mimic sunlight.

I bought a headlight for XC skiing, of course with LEDs. 3xAAA powered, 90 hours claimed at 29m floodlight. I can ski pretty decently with that light. Compared to a 25W halogen I once had, with a heavy battery that lasted 2 hours.
LEDs rock, would be nice if the wallpaper could offer "soft" lighting.

I think this wallpaper will open lots of doors if it works out .

from  there  it is  just one step to  paper thin  video displays like  you see in  some scifi movies

For home lighting color  balance would be a problem  if you used it for  large parts of the wall .........unlike  light  reflected  off a wall .....if you had a green LED wall it would make everything in the room look  green.

White LED  paper on the ceiling would  make  very nice.....very soft light

I have not seen  LED headlights .......are they commonly available  yet?
I  have been watching  for  brake lights that would  work  with my car   it has 2 contacts on the ends and would have to have 2 brightness levels .......the single  brightness level brake  lights  are very common .......

I was at the latest auto show and the lady there for Mazda
was talking about them. Mandatory for an all electric vehicle.
Head lights burn the juice.
