I have an idea:

Create a document attached to this thread that is constantly updated with a list of material suppliers - if anyone wants to buy something e.g magnets, cores etc they can refer to this list instead of trolling through lots of different threads.

Sound like a plan?  ;D

I would be happy to maintain such a list if people can post information about suppliers here. I'm thinking of having a table of product types and suppliers, URLs, Contacts, notes about them, recommendations etc.

Apologies if such an idea has already been done - I can't find it.

Attached is my first draft - lots more to add - please let me know!

For some reasons I cannot modify my original post, otherwise I would put it there.

Keep up the good work, you may find that there are some websites which supply an enormity of items.

Digikey.com for electrical and related.
MSCdirect.com for materials, tooling, etc.

Both of these will send you a free catalog, and both catalogs are foot-smashing huge.

Version 1.2 attached - added some plastic (e.g perspex) suppliers.
