hi....to clairify....jetijs over at EF was able to make soda can thickness aluminum stick to a magnet....and when heated to nearly its melting point, it still maintained its ability to be picked up by a magnet...also when playing with the quartz geode, i "felt" some cooler and warmer areas above the rock...2 inches or so...when i first was experimenting with a PMH, i noticed a cool sensation around the ring....just some info....david

Hi all, I finally managed to get one picture up.  Many more to come.  But I'm struggling through these upload systems.  Just bear with me if it's a bit disjointed. 

We're in the process of building this.  So far we've got the widest 'outer cup made.  I've taken it home to test and here's the thing.  We arranged the magnets north/south/south/north - around the rim of the cup.  I was experimenting with the fields and will try and do a video on this tomorrow.  The facts are that pencils, string, EVERYTHING responds as if it's entirely magnetic.  Its EXTRAORDINARY.  I got hints of this in a previous rig.  This one was intended to test the opposing fields to see if this could be the actual config of Dave's magnetic fields.  I now think that it might be because when the magnets were aligned north/south/north - there was no evidence of the same effect.

It's an ENTIRE variation to Dave's set up but it's precisely the same principle.  I'm sure Sm0ky you may see this.  There's a hidden 'repelling field' in Dave's rig which I picked up on in a defined analysis of the field.  I'll try and find that exercise. 

We also built the middle cup - but the rim to hold the magnets cracked and broke.  I think there was a flaw in the material as it chipped earlier. 

Very intriguing.  You'll see what I mean when I do the video.  It's wierd.  I saw it before but never so marked.
