Hello sparks.  That was an extraordinary account you gave us there.  Very interesting indeed.  I'm reasonably satisfied that if we survive these changing paradigms then the interest in these subjects is now so wide and widening - that I doubt anything will again 'disappear'.  I certainly hope so.   And that, obviously, depending on where this quest of ours ends.  Personally I'm rather hopeful that we're very much on the right road.

i hope im not further confusing the issue, this is really trivial.
but i'll give it my best shot to explain...

the magnetic current is flowing in the direction of the magnetic field from the coil. in a circle, through the "back sides" of the pipes. the inner diameter of the device.

the appendages that stick out are like sticking a metal pin into a magnet. the side touching the north side becomes south and its opposite end becomes north.
and the same witha a pin touching a south magnet, it becomes north, and its opposite end becomes south.

don't let the two "pieces" fool you,
they both act as one magnet, half of the pipe, with half of the pipe next to it. they are polarized where they touch each other.
Even numbers are like i draw here.
in an "odd man out" scenerio, the current will adjust itself so that it hits twice in each appendage, but on the sides instead of once in the middle. im not gonna draw that...

its like shifting the position of the pipes by half a pipe.
in respect to where the flux paths cross it.
