Don't be so gullible man!

It's just 'sleight of hand' by mentally distracting you with a shiny little pyramid with some crazy looking device underneath (immediate mysticism effect on audience).  The result is "wow that looks fancy enough to work" hence also the pathetic extent he has gone to by putting on a lab coat (as if that is supposed to make him look more legit and scientific) and food preparation gloves (WTF?)

Its a crummy voltmeter which proves nothing in way of REAL power generated.  All he needed under the pyramid was a small boost coil and a holding capacitor for the meter to behave such as it did.  There is DEFINITELY a cap there storing the energy because you can see that AFTER he drops the magnet and claims such wondrous power generation, the voltmeter slowly slumps (discharges) and this is typical of all caps which 'bleed' energy after charging.  He then demonstartes again however before doing so he SHORTS the pyramid (which would have killed the holding charge in cap).

Plenty of con men out there.
