Title: hydro nano gas ?
Post by: markdansie on July 29, 2013, 04:41:58 PM
Just wondering if anyone actually knows what this stuff is or how they make it

They appear to claim that simply adding their Hydro Nano Gas to the existing fuel and combustion chambers of a normal Diesel engine will reduce the sulfur emissions:
Quote
SO2 – Sulfur

Burning only with Diesel..............................1384.0 ppm
Burning with HNG and Diesel............................0.2 ppm
Difference (close to eliminated) -1383.8 ppm

And when they are asked to explain where the sulfur goes they say this:

Quote
NEUTRALIZATION OF SULFUR (SO2)

The result of this report shows such remarkable data that it creates a first line of questions
Question: According to the measurement the sulfur (SO2) disappears. Where does it go?
Answer: The initial report by the Stockholm University infrared spectrometer shows no sulfur, but presence of ethylene which can be used as a fuel component. The conclusion is that sulfur breaks up and binds to a molecular structure related to ethylene. No harmful acid appears. No significant decrease of Ph-value.
Which is the non-answer of the week.

I have a preliminary opinion, based on these claims and others made on the page linked above.

Thanks TK I will see if I can get some answers from them.
Kind Regards

Hi Mark & Tinsel,

Its good, old and almost non-used:

Like sold pre-mixed from:

Used by the Biggest Container shipper, MAERSK from Denmark:

Tested here under-load, for over 8000 hours, 1 year:

@Johan
thanks for this
I saw the use of water in fuel oil used at a steel mill in Thailand this year. They got real benefits including an increase in energy output. The plant manager and his team were brilliant in recording data. It used cavitation  to mix the water  into the fuel.
Lubrizol also had a product out a few years ago that was 15% water and 85% diesel, no fuel savings but great for Nox reduction
Kind Regards

Sigh.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_injection_%28engines%29 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_injection_%28engines%29)

Now, please tell me what all this has to do, exactly, with removing all the Sulfur from high-sulfur fuel emissions and making it DISAPPEAR completely, which seems to be what is claimed by these Hydro Nano Gas people?

This phrase
QuoteThe conclusion is that sulfur breaks up and binds to a molecular structure related to ethylene.
is nonsense of a kind that could have come from Rosemary Ainslie herself.

Hello @Johan,
The water/diesel mix you speak of we published in 2002. Flash Steam. The only draw back is pitting will occur if cylinder not sleeved.  Water at 600*C has 175 bar of force, Diesel burns at 1200*C and the Steam force is classified. The magic ingredient Morning Fresh dish washing liquid. Start is by straight diesel then switched over.

Hello Das?,

May we know your real name?

Hello Johan,
I Peter from Dad and Sons.  Thanks for the link, have touched on it, but will go back for a greater read.
