Well that is really sad. I always found him to be very measured and generous in advice. That is a big loss
Oh no. I'm shocked, don't know what to say. I've noticed his absence and wondered if there was something wrong. I have a small package of parts that he sent to me just a couple of weeks ago.
Well i am lost for word's. Like TK,i too was wondering where he had gone, but was never expecting this to be the reason for his absence.
Peaceful journey Mark.
You kept us on the straight and narrow.
Brad
Oh, what a sad day.
Mark was knowledgeable, supremely patient and generous.
I've learned so much basic stuff from him via PM's over the
last couple of years.
I couldn't figure out the relationship between magnetism and
the way an electric current is induced and Mark was able to
satisfactorily explain it in a couple of lines in a PM.
Thank you Mark, I'll really miss you,
John.
he is and will be sadly missed. :(
a walking encylopedia.
a genius.
a comic.
a team player.
and a inspiration to buy an oscilloscope.
thanks mark, you inspiring thinker.
if possible, may you have many happy travels.
How very sad. I'm shocked.
I'll see if I can find out more.
I enjoyed reading "Mark's" comments, and found his answers based on sound reasoning and knowledge. I hope his brilliance lead him to accepting Jesus sacrifice for his sins, so he may have everlasting life to continue his research and knowledge of God, and God's creation as it applies to true science.
Mark E's. knowledge and expertise/humility will be missed by those that are still here. It reminds us that our stay on the earth, in this life is temporary, but also allows our opportunity to know God through his Son Jesus Christ. Hope to be able to meet you later Mark.
Liberty
I will make sure all your messages are passed on.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of MarkE . I often wondered how he had the patience to teach the art so eloquently in the face of so many(uninitiated) that were quick to sling mud at him. (I PM''d him this question many times.) Here is one of his honest and witty replies::
QuoteVortex1 thanks for the kind words. Sometimes I wonder myself. Some of it is just practice. I think it is a useful skill to learn how to remain calm even under persistent personal attack. Part of it is the guilty pleasure of making life a little bit harder for carnival barkers. Oh and then there is that eight figure paycheck for suppressing the world's most revolutionary energy concepts...
He was definitely one of the smartest, kindest teachers on the forums, and I enjoyed the many PM exchanges with him as well as exchanges on the forums. I hold him in the highest esteem....he knew his stuff, was willing to teach it expertly and patiently to even an unwilling student, and will be very deeply missed. :'(
Dear All
It is a big loss Mark E rest in peace
You will be always remembered

I have heard from many learned men with much experience in his field that Mark was perceived
as Gifted, he gave freely of this Gift to any man that would have it.
He taught us all to do a better job here.
Truly a Noble legacy.
with all respect to his family and wishing them peace in this most difficult time.

I am totally shocked by this very sad news. Like TK, I noticed that Mark had not posted in a bit...I just figured he was on a vacation or something. Mark certainly has helped me and I have learned a lot from him on many levels. He helped to bust so many of the scams we have seen here in this field and taught many of us good measurement and testing techniques while doing so. He also set a great example on how to take abuse from the clearly less knowledgeable and not get angered.
It was not that long ago we were corresponding on building and testing new style led lighting devices and chip drivers for them. He certainly leaves behind a large void here in our community. My prayers go out to his family members.
Mark Dansie, thank you very much for letting all of us know about this very sad turn of events. I will be raising a glass in a toast to his memory here in a bit.
RIP MarkE, thanks for everything.
Bill
Mark will be missed. I am sure that, being human, he had failings. The only one I can see is being too generous.
R.I.P. Mark.
A major contributor of the forum has left us :-X
My he be rewarded for his services.

Shocked is the correct wording, i was missing Marks posts these last days, i will be missing him from now on.
Thanks Mark, Rest In Peace.

boss is gone? ):
R.I.P. I wish him well on his new journey.
I am deeply deeply saddened and my condolences go out to his family, his friends, and his online friends. I had infinite respect for him, Mark was a genius. He has left his mark on me and I am sure for many others. I will miss his keen intelligence and his wisdom. A little bit of his spirit will always be with me. He was one of the good guys, without a doubt.

My condolence for his close family but his legacy will move on in his DNA be it in the learners in the mind or in the flesh. R.I.P seeker of truth. I don't know who you where but I'm 100% sure you have spread the seeds to continue your legacy in other peoples minds. Strange, gona miss him.he was integral part of many historical moments here
This is sad news.
He was quite funny and supportive through his PM's which was much different than his gruff demeanor that his public forum posts would imply.
My condolences to his family.
:( please accept my sincere condolences
Thanks for everything buddy. :)
He was definitely gifted and compassionate about sharing his knowledge. I will truly miss him....

well
it would seem Mark E lead a double life here and elsewhere ,he was very very much involved in helping many serious builders and experimenters behind the scenes here and elsewhere.
not the sceptic which one would gleen from his forum persona here ,but in my opinion very much interested in this work
and doing it right.
we need to make sure that what happened to Mark was "natural" ,there have been Hints of him being overly concerned in some way ??
recently ??
He truly was a wonderful Man.
How old was he? Anybody know?maybe ill?
It's a sad day when I here good people like Mark E had past away, I wish his family well at these tough times.
Life is so short when we get older, as a kid I remember how weeks felt like years and now each day feels like weeks passing by.
I wish everyone good health, even if I don't agree with some of the forums comments.
God has given us today to live life again, be the best you can be, because only God knows if you live tomorrow.
I have been praying for answer of free energy from governments and even today I feel that if mankind does not want free salvation of Jesus Christ for our sins then why would God allow us to have free energy?
I keep searching for answers and believe we must all do the same.
If anything, do it for Mark E that help many on this forum.
May God Bless Mark E and best wishes to his family.
TLR
My condolances and prayers for his Family, I will miss him.

People like MarkE are essential on forums like these. A believer in the possibility of new sources of energy, without the BS and the scammers taking money from the gullible like on other forums. I hope his last days were without suffering.
I have just found out today. May Mark E have eternal peace. My heart goes out to his grieving family.

He was working and well right up to the last day. He had just send some boards he had made up for my current project. When I find out more I will let you all know. I really miss him. In person he was funny, had an brilliant memory about everything and was truly a humble genius.
He really cared and helped so many people.
Kind Regards
Mark
It is really sad to hear that he was fine one day, and gone the next.
I really hope his death wasn't the result of suspicious circumstances.
Well think about poynt 1)he had broad-spectrum scientific knowledge 2)he was continuously exposed to valuable information on and off these websites 3)he had worked directly with people on and off these websites.somebody said he was showing signs of stress in prior weeks?
I would not speculate about the cause of death. There is nothing suspicious from what I understand and in his everyday life he was a brilliant electrical engineer not working on anything controversial. Please give him the respect he deserves and leave the conspiracy theories out of this which he himself would normally just laugh at.
Kind Regards
Mark
QuoteHow old was he? Anybody know?
profitis, why did you not ask this while he was alive? I don't find you smart at all....such things should not be asked when a person passes away....and I have never been to a funeral...when you die, I will just ask how old where you and then go and buy some firecrackers to pop.
Do u think he gives a damn joel he's laughing at you right now because he has become THE secret of the universe whilst you still know nothing.I was trying to ascertain his age as to figure out cause of death because in these circles answers are a must.we don't like things 'hanging in the air' here. quite frankly I don't give a damn what you do after I'm gone as death is a celebrating thingy in my books.
On second thought, death is neither a celebrating thing nor a sad thing in my books.it is just a thing
No profitis, in death one is just as ignorant as in life. Apparently, we need to do our learning here, otherwise we come back over and over.
This is assuming, that the mind lives on, as many OBE stories tell us. Of course people lie a lot, so these days I have been looking at astral projection to find out the truth for myself. I have no answers as yet, as the projections are more like dreams where I am fully conscious, floating in my house, under my control, but the house doesn't look the same.
Personally, I believe that seeking the truth about death is far more rewarding than seeking OU, but it is harder and scarier.
RIP
Well pomodoro,if you think about it we already know what death is like as we've all already been dead, before we were born we were kinda dead,non-existent,one with the universe not so?as I recall it wasn't so bad as people make it out to be.
QuoteOn second thought, death is neither a celebrating thing nor a sad thing in my books.it is just a thing
Nobody INTELLIGENT enough to understand death cares what you think. Death comes to all and we should respect it when it comes. Death will come to all eventually and we should not be scared of death since we all will die eventually, one should be scared about the waves of the thinking left behind! = did I teach people to be killers or did I teach them to be heroes? Profitis, I don't care when you die and you don't care when I die, but what is the laws of knowledge? = for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction = for all deaths there is life resonating. Death only dies in the flesh but never in the mind since the way you think people have been thinking since millions of years ago (where is your thinkinf in the scale of knowledge?)...if the mentality of taking over the world is correct, that is just crazy thinking and has been dying ever since Hitler! COP>+ baby!
Respect death because you will die someday too. Me too. We all will die, BUT asking someone else how old was he after his death, that is just an insult! EVEN IF YOU GET AN AGE! what will that answer for you? He is gone in the flesh not matter if you find out the age, you just show respect for death! period. BTW, death is knocking at your door profitis, open the door? :P
''Respect death because you will die someday too. Me too. We all will die''

QuoteIs this your favourite polpot quote?crass.
Hmmm... I don't know what you mean by this. I still stand my ground to respect death since by respecting death allows us to keep on living to the max. For example, don't stick your hand in fire. Evolution has taught us since the beginning.
QuoteCan you be more specific
Do you know the value of a dollar? Do you know the value of a $100 USD bill? Do you know the value of life? Take your oscilloscope and measure the value of a dollar, $100 bill, and life. Now tell me what is the difference between ALL BASED ON THE OSCILLOSCOPE waves? Just you asking me this question means that you don't know the difference between all and maybe you are just living in lalaland.
Quoteyou seem to think that I'm the only one wanting answers here.you are mistaken.
I am surpriced that after 3 thousand 2 hundred and twenty one posts here you don't know his age...that only after death you are INTREAGED to find out his age...why not be curious to ask his age when he was living? THAT is my point! And I know that finding his age will not change anything BECAUSE it should have been changed when he was alive! This is a perfect example why you don't know the answers! What if you could have helped him to live to the old age of 100 years old but you never did anything about it? Could you have prevented his death or at least move on forward his teachings when he was alive....as a matter of fact, what did he teach you and what will you teach the future people?
QuoteMeaning?
After knowing his age does not matter. The same can be said about a person dying while driving. The age does not matter but mostly the safety precautions one should have taken to prevent the death. Knowing the age is not the same as telling the person to wear a safety belt while driving!!! We all will die BUT the EVOLUTION of INTELLIGENCE teaches our ADULT lives to teach the young to NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES to cause death. What are you teaching to prevent death?
QuoteGot it,thanks.now he becomes more real to those who didn't know him personally.
When he was alive was he fake? (not real) Why did you not ask him his age when he was alive or OFFERED any help when he needed it? It is pretty obvious that you are not that intelligent and no one will learn things to reach to live the life expectancy of 100 years old and say that profitis helped me to get here.
How old are you profitis? So you can become "more real".
Really? We're having a fight here? Can't we just agree he was a brilliant man who was incredibly generous with his time and knowledge.
^ profitis does not want to respect death. How old is he?

What is anybody teaching to prevent the inevitable?

QuoteLiving in the ghetto yes, trust me I know all about the value of life.less than 2cents.
Now you feel that the value of life in the ghetto is 2 cents, that does not tell me anything about how you feel about the value of a $100 USD bill. That basically tells me that your oscilloscope is malfuntioning and cannot understand truth.
Quotebut I'l tell you one thing, arguing with him was a heck of a lot more educational than arguing with you..
I'm actually fighting here to respect his death. Just like I fight for any other because I am from the ghetto too, how do you survive in the ghetto? By killing? Taking advantage of people? Because greed teaches the ghetto people to survive by killing others or taking advantage of others! May his soul rest in peace but I think he did not teach you enough! Eat healthy foods. Wash your hands when you eat! Use a condom to protect against STDs. Those whom live by the sword die by the sword. The universe has yet to be discovered! I'm afraid none of this will prevent a drunk driver from bumping you or me in the road.the question becomes, how do you prepare for death,at any moment, place.the answer is,enjoy life to the full with whatever means you have.

Easy,by expecting the worst, because then the universe does the opposite to what you expect :).alternatively, don't expect anything, just move, just do it.Or,expect the best because the universe might catch on that you're expecting the best from the worst.in short,I don't know..
I missed his ballast on my "Sine Wave" thread. I'm shocked and bewildered by the news. He was a good solid sparing partner, and sometimes a tremendous help. Always cool and courteous under heavy fire! What a pity. He'll be sadly missed by me.

I also thought he was in his 80's based on his knowledge and experience, and most of all his patience. I am amazed at this great great man. If Mark Dansie or ANYone can talk to how this genius learned his craft I would somehow feel that my poor life has some chance of improving only if I could follow his same path. I don't know about you but his being other than him being and EE I would love to have the honor to memory and follow some of his educational discipline. I wish no specifics but generalities.
