So a pendulum is to increase its length of fall on the descending side of the wheel and shorten its climb up... Seems an interesting idea, from your drawings, I dont quite understand how one would achieve this? Unless a pendulum, as it falls, would slowly lift up as it keeps it force on the wheel and guiding it into the axle then up and out again? hmm

Hi Alexi !
Firstly,take a look at a design,more easy to get an idea about the same concept http://www.geocities.com/iacob_alex/Some_Drafts/text022.jpg with the title "Gravity Flip-Flop".
Here we have;
M1=M2
R1<R2<R3
M1 is a fixed mass on a R2 arm
M2 is a mobile mass,self-sliding between R1 and R3,due to gravity ,only.
We have a positive torque difference,on the right side of the fulcrum between 0* and 270*,as follows:
-between 0*-!80* ,because M1.R2>M2.R1
-between 180*-270*,because M2 is sliding,so to have M2.R3>M1.R2
We can see ,that we have ,not an usual pendular type fall(0*-180*),but a longer one(0*-270*),with a simple design...
To "close the loop" (270*-360*), we have a "small problem",regarding the sign of the torque difference(it switches on the left side of the fulcrum....).
As I see the things,there can be two solutions:
-to add a rotational inertia ,store-restore system,as a centric mass/ring on the fulcrum:a flywheel or a Watt Governor.
-to pair this wheel, with an other arrangement, as in a mirror ,but with a 90* phase shift...as that proposed with the name "Gemini gravity wheel".
This kind of game,on paper... and in reality,maybe... can be played with a lot of different designs.
Simplicity is a fair language...less lines in a design,can "talk" to more people.

Just before we go any further, I cant find the picture that reads "Grivity Flip-Flop" could you link me straight to the pic? The link you posted doesnt work.
Alex
Maybe a small mistake:jpg instead of JPG...
Let's try again: www.geocities.com/iacob_alex/Some_Drafts/text022.JPG
If not,then you can type "Stellarotor"(Google,Yahoo...),enter the site,click on "Some Drafts",then search the "Some_Drafts"/022.JPG
There you can find the "Gravity Flip-Flop".

the blue weight will slide to the end but it wont increase its fall distance because the weight will push to the bottom and just slide back as the wheel turns meaning it takes longer for the weight to rise than it does to drop...
Alex
Hi Alexioco!
...maybe...you see the things different,than I intended to express in the design.
A simple test can be conclusive regarding the continuous 0*-270* pendular fall and storage of a positive torque,greater than the negative torque(270*-360*0..
Somebody will have curiosity,as Milkovic...I hope.
Anyway,the try and try again is our teacher.
Our (in progress,but limited...) knowledge is a fine thing,but imagination is a key for the next step of knowledge...

...is simply,an application of the pendular concept for a specific flow.
A pendulum can be considered for a gravity fall,as a blade for a common propeller intended to collect power from a flow(air,water).
The main property of a blade propeller,as a basic design,is that it can be used to collect power,or to travel,move a body.
As we know,the propeller's blade,is a symbol,for transport and energy,in the same time.
Sure,this is not the single method to move,or to get power,but a blade propeller can reverse a function,purpose.
If you take a look at www.geocities.com/iacob_alex/Some_Drafts/untitled029.jpg (Gemini Gravity Wheel),and then at www.geocities.com/iacob_alex/Some_Drafts/text020.jpg (Gemini Wheel),you can have in sight a resemblance...
The intention is to make use of pendulum,in the same simple manner,as we employ a blade for transport and energy reasons.
