Ian Tomlinson, the man who died at last week's G20 protests in London, was attacked from behind and thrown to the ground by a baton-wielding police officer in riot gear, dramatic footage obtained by the ­Guardian shows..

Moments after the assault on ­Tomlinson was captured on video, he ­suffered a heart attack and died.

The Guardian is preparing to hand a ­dossier of evidence to the police ­complaints watchdog. It sheds fresh light on the events ­surrounding the death of the 47-year-old newspaper seller, who had been on his way home from work when he was confronted by lines of riot police near the Bank of England.

If you or I clubbed a person to death in the street from behind in front of police and on video...do you think someone would have to spoon feed a police agency with evidence in order for us to be arrested on murder charges ?

Lets see I watched the video. The man is milling around the bicycles and the dogs show a reaction to him. He does not remove his hands from his pockets. It is a shame the did not get what the police were saying to the man recorded.

One officer takes him down. They talk a bit, the man gets up and goes on his way. A diferent man is also seen talking to him.

I video enhanced the clip windows bigN'clear...and there it was...on the back of his sweater he wore a sign that read - 

"I have a heart condition, please attack me from behind with a club, and drive my head into the pavement, so it will look like police brutality".

I think having the ability to post the truth on this site adds to its credibility.   If the truth could just be squelched as in the mainstream media this site should be government owned.  If not saying or doing exactly what a police officer wants you to can cause them to attack you with physical force then there is something wrong with our societies.  Anyone who is willing to relinquish his or her rights to the point of condoning this type of act causes all of us through public apathy to fall pry to these power bullies.

The liars are claiming that their light post mounted cameras were not functioning when they murdered Mr. Tomlinson...so all they have is the shaky footage supplied by onlookers under duress.

It's 25 years ago since Blair Peach got the Met-treatment. A wittness at the time stated:
"As the police rushed past him, one of them hit him on the head with the stick. I was in my garden and saw this quite clearly. He was left sitting against the wall. He tried to get up, but he was shivering and looked very strange. He couldn't stand. Then the police came back and told him, 'Move! Come on, move!' They were very rough with him and I was shocked because it was clear he was seriously hurt."  He died directly from his injuries.

There were no camras around in those days,(well camras that we could review) there was a good public outcry. An early search of Met police lockers produced a varied array of modified trunchens. Don't be silly, ofcourse no one was prosecuted!

The second autopsy showed Mr Ian Thomlison died from internal bleeding and not a heart attack, this still doesn't make things any better because the poor guy is dead but it certainly doesn't make the case for the police any better either.

Actually chad, its worse for the police.

Internal bleeding is the result of trauma or post operative complications.

On the video, I did notice that they opened up his head with a flat concrete surface...it happened too fast to determine whether they applied an anastetic beforehand or not.
