You're probably right about the honey.
I had a meal of 'C' Rations I got from a veteran's homeless outreach function here in S.F.  They last quite a while and can be found in military surplus stores.  They can be 'cooked' in a self-supplied steamer or eaten as is from the plastic bags the meal constituents come in.

It is very good thing this economic crisis. It will cure many problems, and tears us from silly peoples. I had written somewhere that i don^t have own home. Of course. What will be in price and Haute Coulture (speak: ot citir) will be bunkers. Deep underground bunkers, far away from big cities in lasy village (Dorf) neighbourhood. I have such 2 in various places (from previous War). It is nice to live in. Cold in Summer, warm in Winter. Really free energy!:-)

Can you live off the land in Poland/Germany/Sudetenland(wherever you live)?  There are no wild game animals since they were hunted to extinction, farm animals will get eaten quickly, any survival food in cans will be eaten eventually.  The land is fairly polluted, anyway.  Especially rivers and streams.

Living in a bomb shelter all the time means you eventually starve.  Were you combat trained in the military?  They can teach you to live in the wilderness, even if you're an East European.  You need a lifelong source of food.

Do you have one?

Oh, I'll be honest now:  I live in a large West Coast city and have the same problem.  But, I'll get diabetes in, say, 10 years or less, so I can't avoid my future.  If there's a river of blood in the streets, I think anyone have much of a chance.  Frankly, I think only the survivalists might have a chance if they're talented enough to scrape by.

I don^t have Jewish ancestors for minimum 200y. Rather from Bamberg, south of Germany. But it was 300y ago and nobody has sure clues. Mother of my Grandma was aus Kaschuben (Hinterpommern). Oma (Grandma) was schon in NRW, Duisburg/Rhein im 1912 geboren (2006 gestorben). She was 8y. old when came to Poland with father. Grandgrandpa served in Preusische Armee. We have even this 100y old photos (colour)of him in uniform! But most of Oma cousins lived bis today in NRW. One uncle left hand left under Moscow in winter 41/42. He had always in each of his Mercedes cars, special steering wheel for better drive with automatic of course. He was reachest of them all, even in cold war was oft in Poland. Other uncle served as Wachmann in camp for war prisoners in Poznan. Lived in this time in Oma^s flat. Her Man, my Grandpa served in this time polish 304 BS of RAF. They had searched for German subs, some sinked (Volltreffer). Also much disturbing history. But it is only part.   The Jews today are but more jewish as this from bevore war. And this in Jedwabne, but not so many, but i think that in other places too, were killed cos they had sold (verkaufen) many polish peoples to soviet communists. For death. I^m not all for it, as in a fall of skins, but You know, in war such things go faster and ohne Gnade. This even not to stop people not to make such murders. This are already our ancient instincts. Today this Jews which had undergone Holocaust stay as a courtain, an umbrella, for this what they bankers do.
