Then just put up a proper advertisement that this technology was further improved by you and you deserve to have the free time to further work on other devices. I myself would gladly pay / donate the price of the device even if i bought a 2cent chinese copy of it. This is how most of PC games survive, the quality of the outcome deserves the payment even if you played a cheap hacked copy of the game. Think out of the box just as you did until now. A smaller gain is better then no gain ( trust a guy that makes living out of donation money )}
