Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Do you think the American economy will ever improve?

Yes, definitely
Possibly, in the long run
No, it will worsen
Undecided

Could the default be just another planned way of buying more time, as they know what will happen eventually, but is the only thing they can do?
Well, I suppose so---for those in Washington.  In the meantime, people will rather quickly find life to become expensive.  That's for lots of things, too.  House payments, credit card payments, car loans---and eventually:  Food prices.
People will become more than *a little* unhappy when this happens.  After that, I don't know.  When people get desperate, they can do rash things.

I'm merely a theoretical electronics engineer/technician for now, since I have no extra money for experimentation, but I was a professional electronics/computer technician in the past.
As a result, I have a lot of ideas, but no hard test results to back them up---for now.  That could change if I get a job locally in the Bay Area of California.

Time to take some rash measures ourselves.I was thinking of buying a taser.Maybe I still should?
I have a golf club beside my bed now.I met a homeless man today who worked for a church that laid him off.
He never got unemployment because the church was exempt from paying into it for him.He did cleanup for that church.I asked him if he had family? he could go to?He said they had their own problems.Go figure.triffid

Im 59 now and do not expect to go to work for anyone but myself. In 2008 I knew if I were off work for more than three years almost noone would hire me but now anyone over 50 is finding it real hard to find a job.Even if they play by the rules.Sending out hundreds of resumes, attending workshops, networking with others, etc. So the hiring rules changed after 2008 to exclude those over 50.I did try to go back to work after a year but my company decided not to hire me back.True I had quit them due to an increasing arthritic foot.My supervisor had told me to come back but some boss over him said no.So I applied at that time for disability on my own(no help from lawyers). And got it four months later.I had been off work for a year and a half at the time I started receiving it.I pray it continues.triffid

Concerning triffid's posted Reply #1305,
I'm the same way.  61 yrs old and a disabled Vet.  I worked for 25 yrs, but that does me no good now.  So, I get by the same way I've always have:  Steadily plodding ahead with accasional rest stops.

There was a man on this OU.com board who lived on a mountainside and had a long wire to the top of the mountain that also had an aluminum mesh panel connected to it.  This went to transformer(s), capacitor(s), diode(s) and batterie(s).  He said could power his home that way.
Can you set up anything like that?  Having 60 Hz power all around should make it easier.  Just hide all this from copper thieves.

Also, the vote on the debt ceiling happens this evening (the 28th of July) in Congress.  Many say it ultimately won't be passed by votes or otherwise vetoed by the President.  This doesn't look good at all.  I hope I'm wrong.

What I heard today was that we would not default but go from a triple A credit rating to a double A credit rating. So I guess there will be a big selloff in the markets on friday?I heard about the guy with the wire on the mountain.Even saw a picture of it.His wire was about 200 to 300 feet above him.The drawing showed his place and the wire was at least that much higher than him.Of course he grounded it very close to his house.Tommie reed here on ou.com got 36 volts off of a metal plate attached to a homemade flagpole. Its AC so he had to convert it to DC.Its not much power however but it could run a calculator or recharge a cell phone.Courtesy of the earth /sun system.triffid
