Hi Dave45,
While I was playing with my rotor, spinning at 1500 rpm (the upper magnets is N facing, then the lower magnets S facing) if I put a small magnet loosely on top of the N facing magnet And let it spin, it makes a clockwise spin, then with the S side it's counterclockwise, while looking at your posted pictures I can confirm that a magnets magnetic fields has a clockwise & counterclockwise spin! Cool!  :o
