Have you tried this coil setup?  Just wondering. I havnt yet. Not sure in your configuration, but wont a shorted coil cause excessive input? Like a shorted secondary of a normal transformer?

I took a break from the bench for a few days. Was getting frustrated. I lose hope for time periods.  Like I get up, go to work, and all day, I do my job well, but my mind is on the bench. While Im at work, I have all this positive brain work going on, but then I get home and the ideas dont seem so great anymore. Almost every day for some time now.

Its like Im in dream land by day and locked in a cage at night.  Im just frikin burned out.

Been doin some work on my bikes(electric), and Xfactor tonight was ok. Christine Ha(blind) won Masterchef. She was amazing. Im beginning to think there is a life, away from the bench. When I get home from work, my laptop is on and I check in here frequently. It may look like im logged on for long periods, but I just dont close out my firefox till bed time.

Im working on a dc to dc power supply for my 48v bike. I want the bike to get over 50v till the batteries cant run the power supply any longer. The batteries are lead acid agm 12ah x4 in series. When they are fully charged and pumped up before riding, the things a rocket. And I want that during a whole battery cycle by regulating the power supply to an adjustable above 50v range. Not sure yet, but if the motor controler can take 60v, it will do 30mph easy. Does 25 now, front wheel brushless, and spins the tire on takeoff, with my full weight, 215, and the bike is about 70lb.

I have to look into the whole circuit of the controller to see if 60v will take. The input caps are 63v, but other parts may need adjustment in order for the controller to work properly.

I understand you Mags. I have a dreams with working devices and everything is easy but then I built them according to description from my dream or imagination and I don't know how to power them.
Now they are laying (some even for for almost 2 years)  on my shelf...


My advice is : build Jack NoSkills transformer setup. I'm in the process of making it, because it can show the principles my other devices operate as well : two or more resonant circuits operate in non disturbing manner : one is a "kicker" for the other which is the "output". Unidirectional energy transfer.

No I havent built it yet, I know what you mean by burnt out, I have my own handy man service I remodel existing structures and add small additions it seems when Im not working hands on Im home making out proposals,invoices or on the phone chasing material prices. Then this is always on my mind, my work and home life has suffered, but the Lord blessed me with a good wife who try's to understand, some things are more important than self.

Have you ever felt you finally found something in life you were supposed to do, I feel its something we can understand, we have spent the last 100 years working with action reaction and building circuits to use the energy without trying to understand why, we need to know why and how, it will be very simple when we find it.
I feel if I bury myself in building circuits I wont see the whole picture so I have spent my time trying to find the working mechanism of the magnetic field, this is where I believe the answer will be found.

Something that has been bugging me with the device I proposed is the reaction of the secondary coil, I see how the primary will react and the shorted coil but the reaction of the secondary when current runs through it will be the same as the primary, I feel the bemf from the secondary will react the same as the primary but how will it effect the primary as it moves across it, I guess I'll have to build it to find out.

Id better get back to my second job- making a living
