Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Do you think the American economy will ever improve?

Yes, definitely
Possibly, in the long run
No, it will worsen
Undecided

Cangas (and others), you lack imagination: imagine a dron propelled by free energy device. Now imagine religious fundamentalists like Boko Haram or ISIS; imagine those fundamentalists' groups using such free energy devices sending a message of their interpretation of their religions around the world. They are able to produce a lot of such devices and send them around with small package, lets say: ground castor seeds (which is available without restrictions).
Know whut I mean, Vern?!

My thanks for all the dismal news. It's like, you know, the game is over and Satan Devil is the winner, if all this bad news can be believed.

But, what if .....somebody does invent and implement free energy, maybe just a minute before Satan Devil drops its hammer.

Free energy would, like, you know, make Dollars, and, Gold, and Whatever, worthless. Free energy would make free electricity, and free food, and free housing, and free whatever, like in Matthew 25:31, FREE for every human.

Know whut I mean, Vern?!

       With respect to Reply #3835,
I expect the future to be harsh, but not necessarily that 'Satan" has any any chance of winning a game involving the contentious possession of humanity's collective Soul.
Well, at least, free electrical power would result whereby unlimited electricity is available to all.   The rest you mentioned might be easier to obtain as a result of the first sentence above.
(I dislike getting into discussions involving religion on account of that being---at least---a fairly emotionally-charged issue; possibly being capable of leading  to things like persecution and martyrdom.)

Qwert,
With respect to your Reply immediately following the one mentioned above...
What could ISIS, the Taliban, etc., do with the tactic you suggest above?   They still need to eat food to survive, with or without money.   Ruining the world's collective economy will then force then to be as bad off as bad as anyone else, yes?
I do think, however, that they're Apocyplic-believers who also believe their apparent position of violent power and war-making atrocities will end, eventually, and they'll get what they did to others as having been done to them.  (This is the basis of the concept of karma.)

Also, by that basis, I consider they aren't going to 'win' their conflict with most of the Gov'ts of the world.   They're outnumbered and collectively outgunned

I'm merely a theoretical electronics engineer/technician for now, since I have no extra money for experimentation, but I was a professional electronics/computer technician in the past.
As a result, I have a lot of ideas, but no hard test results to back them up---for now.  That could change if I get a job locally in the Bay Area of California.

Lee, they believe that God's (Allah's) will is to annihilate non-believers (their God must be quite powerless if cannot do that himself ;) ); to do that, they are ready to not sleep, not eat and even to annihilate themselves if only this way brings annihilation of the non-believers: they believe that that way they will go to heaven and non-believers to hell, becoming condemned forever. Recent news say their authorities give drugs to their soldiers to break their eventual hesitations. They are not like us. No negotiations with them.

I heard on the public tv news that 1 in 30 children in the USA is homeless. That makes 2.5 million children under the age of 6 are on the streets of America. That news is terrible for a world superpower.triffid

Trends in the labor market continue to be:
• Jobs are largely shifting to one of low wage labor.
• Middle class families are witnessing inflation and their purchasing power decline.
•Explosion of part-time jobs, which count as a "job" in government statistics.
•High number of people going into big debt to go to college, in hopes of escaping a low wage career, with many graduates unable to find a job in their field.
•Americans in their peak earning years of 25-54 are losing jobs, while those over age 55 gained jobs and comprise 22% of the workforce. (They can't retire)

The US population has grown by 8 percent since 2004 from 292 million to 318 million. Those not in the labor force has grown by 17 percent in this same period. Some of this can be accounted for by aging baby boomers but most nearing retirement have little to no money to their name, so the new retirement plan is no retirement. Many will be working until they drop.
