I believe that seniors should own their own homes to avoid being thrown out on the streets.Those who owned their own homes during the great depression of the 1930s suffered a lot less than those who did not.Forget the reverse mortgages.Don't borrow against your security.triffid

Last night on public tv here(9-1)"Nova" aired" Wild Ways"."Wild ways" is about how we are striving to connect large parks together so that our wildlife can be preserved.Very interesting. There are plans in the works to connect Yellowstone Park with three or four national parks in Canada so wildlife will have a 6000 mile stretch of land to roam in.There are similar plans all other the world.Maybe mankind and wild animals can exist together for the next few thousand years together?The show featured highways that allow wild animals to cross in safety.Both overpasses and underpasses.Which are cheaper to build than to endure the loss of human and wildlife lives which occur as animals try to cross the road.Not to mention damage to vehicles.triffid

Hey triffid,
       Things continue to go downhill economically here in S.F.    More and more small businesses fold and, for the most part, their former business properties sit vacant months and months.   I don't see how people don't notice this happening, unless they live month-to-month and don't care about anything else.   Putting food on the table and paying rent---and THAT'S it.  If that's the case, I understand.       I think the subject of this thread becomes more and more relevant every day.

China Stock Market Crisis  News


       Now, the thing i see is that there were more articles about the Chinese economy in the past than now.   Only two, now.   I ask myself, "Why is this?"    Is there something bad happening to China or Asia?
       As it is, the American economy is still grinding to a slow halt.   I don't think there's anything that will help, here.   Debt loads are reaching crisis levels in the near-to-intermediate future.   Then it all stops for a LONG time.
