   With your 24v PS, you should be able to produce up to a 1 centimeter streamer, without any induction circuit going, also.
  IF not something may be wrong with your Kacher circuit, choke, etz.  Try some ferrite pieces inside the kacher pvc pipe.

   Verpies:  You were wondering just how and where the HV is affecting the induction circuit, If it was through the yoke core or something else. The answer is that Without the Earth ground connected, the HV from the Kacher is running ALL OVER the induction circuit, and going all the way back to the PS, without the use of a protection diode at the PS.
That's why the earth ground is important to use in these devices.

The spark gap in Sergey board on Tesla top load ("antenna") is doing same voltage limiting and abrupt discharge like in akula's basic circuit. This is important bit for achieving required effect if electronics cannot do it...
