And that may just turn out to be a good thing.  If the people involved in
this actually came out and told us the truth of just how much control they
actually wield over us, that message would likely be the end of us.  We
would soon realize we are the cat in the cage that no matter where we
step, we become electrocuted.  With such realization of the truth, I suspect
most would simply lay down and die.

For most of us, not knowing with surety of the actual truth is the only
thing that keeps us going.  So in a way I'm happy they keep lying.  I know
I'm not free here on this rock floating through space, so I'll continue to
seek my boundaries and one day, with some fortunate luck, I might just
punch a hole in their impenetrable fence.  You're all welcome to follow
me through to the other side.
