Hey, new guy here!

Ok, here is a half-baked idea:

bio-engineer bacteria, inserting the gene used by many marine animals to produce an electric charge, to make a bio-electric reactor?

Or...

Insert this gene into a plant crop creating a solar electric farm?

Any thoughts?

If we couple this to bio chips would we then get synthetic life? Just sort of joking, that's a very original idea and not bad at all. It sounds expensive to try it though.

it could work...but the biggest problem IMHO would be extracting said bio electricity. If it were possable to extract this energy, we could potentially use our own bioelectric field to charge things like watch batteries.

But let's say for a moment that you create an electric bacteria - how would it grow if it is basically the embodiment of electrolisis? You may as well get a tank full of electric eels and try to use them to create hydrogen...
