he says "heres the meter, its set to DC".......then proceeds to use the clamp......you cant measure DC amps using the clamp

In reality , yes you can measure dc amp with a clamp meter but he must be build for that, i didn't checked if his clamp can read it or only AC, its the same thing as a current probe for a oscilloscope, it read the magnetic field strength around the wire, ac or dc , there a B Field around the conductor and its what it read.

What scare me about his video is the size, you can easily hide a little 100w inverter (i have one 100w for my car , about 5''X'3''X3/4'' ) with a pack of Lipo cell.
