Need help to create simple water dissociation device to demonstrate to others

There are a number of approaches that are being tried at the moment, most show promise. If you want to go out to advocate the use of hydrogen as an alternative energy source you should familiarise yourself with the different approaches.

In its basic form, splitting water by passing an electric current through it, is simple to build and it works. This has been known for a very long time. The drawback is that it requires more energy to produce the gases than the gases can generate. A lot more energy.

The research is into methods that are less demanding on supplied energy.

There is the Linnard Griffin method where catalysts are added to the water to cause the reaction.

Next there is the work of Martin Demuth of the Max Planck Institute in Germany that uses titanium disilicide and sunlight in what amounts to an artificial photosynthesis. This method is not represented here, I am working on a presentation and open a thread on this for discussion once I have all the information I need together.

Then there are the various threads on Stanley Meyer and so forth that use high voltage pulses to achieve dissociation. One of them is here:

Your project is intriguing. I know they've been able to ignite saltwater by applying RF, so Im guessing sonics might be even better.
