Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

lost_bro,

thanks for that info, i can't remember seeing that before.
So R8 / C5 is a Pass Filter for the delay created by the LM393 etc. signal.
But what value did you use for C5?  Did you find it by experiment?

By the way, the signal into the LM393 from the current toroid, is as i remember in my case around 750V pp (lots of amps running there),
is that setup with the schottkys and 10/100 Ohm resistors enought to protect the LM393?

Guys, true or false...

The purpose of the PLL circuit is to achieve the highest current possible across the induction heater coil.

If the above statement is false, then what is its actual purpose?

If true, then couldn't we simply sweep the frequency with a SG and manually find the resonant peak using a scope and current probe?  And as long as we use a fixed load is there any reason the resonant condition would wander out of tune?  Or is there something in the way this device functions where the frequency is constantly moving back-n-forth?

I completely understand this PLL circuit will track if you are constantly changing the load, but is all that necessary for one of us to demonstrate a working prototype?  Just seems to me it is overkill for finding and studying the basic effect.

Hello Itsu

In my case I used a cap. value to set the delay to match a *lag* range +&- for the delay my particular MAX942CPA comp.
I will have to check my schematics to find that info.

750Vpp is toooooo much voltage for the input of *any* comparator.............. usually just rail to rail and sometimes a few mv. more.
After the shunt resistor (on CT) I clipped my Vpp with a diode clamp (rail to rail) = square wave signal input (rail to rail) to comp.

I've had no problems with the comparator in this configuration as long as the diodes are of the rated voltage.

take care, peace

Thanks. I missed these circuits.

The complete circuit for test build - http://imgbin.org/images/26553.jpg

I also understand on trying out different parts and methods in electronics such as Mazilli driver is good for learning curve but to keep least amount of unknowns is best to stick with close to original as possible.

Cheers!
