Have a look at Sergey device photo he looks as if he has 9 or ten winds on 10 mm copper tape, it's confusing ! Also notice the spark gap.

Hi Dog-One. I mentioned in this thread some time back that it is normal for unbalanced antennas such as quarter wave antennas
to not only reguire an earth ground or ground radials (counterpoise wires) to perform optimally, but the earth ground connection
or ground radials can have quite a high current flowing in them, depending on the power level being sent to the antenna.
So, seeing a ground current to a ground wire from a tesla coil (for which the secondary winding wire length is typically a quarter wavelength of its
resonant frequency), is normal. The question that always remains of course is if and how this ground current might be utilized
to produce over unity.  :)
