It's kind of interesting, there is current drawn, from ground... but the coil on the power can be made such that it's large enough to not reverse flow entirely before the next oscillation...


LT Spice seems to think all the current should go through the choke coil... but after oscillation starts... the midpoint between the two coils will be a higher potential than the choke, so current will begin to reverse in the choke.... and once resonance is highest, the potential will be more high for more time than the choke, so it will be in a reversed state of potential... the draw on the positive potential isn't that great, mostly it's the resonant tank taking current through the open mosfets... but they close before that current will unreverse the choke's bias...


I guess the measurement is theoretically 4* total inductance of resonating coils...

Please, could you tell me how to build the scole device? I have some germanium diodes. I speak telepathically and sometimes clairvoyantly to my guides but a lot of times i miss what they say and it can be frustrating. This scole experiment sounds so amazing. Thank you very much dear brother.

I heard this was a bad thing to do... to force them to forward conduct by putting a negative voltage on the source...

It's not bad for the S-D junction, since this junction is bidirectional, but it may have unintended results because the parasitic body diode is almost always there and it conducts even when the S-D junction does not.

I added a diode on the common ground... it develops a negative potential, but does stop the backflow ....

So now you have created an asymmetrical circuit, where one MOSFET is more special than the other.

I think usually the diode is put the other direction across the MOSFET so it can be protected... some don't have the protection diode?

The diode across the S-D junction is not a protection diode - it is a parasitic body diode and almost all MOSFETs have them.
This diode does not protect the S-D junction - it bypasses it above 0.6V of reverse voltage. 
Actually at low reverse S-D currents (I_F), this diode has a higher voltage drop (V_F) than the bidirectional MOSFET's S-D junction (see the attachment) and consequently dissipates more power than the D-S junction.  Also, at reverse voltages below 0.6V this diode will not conduct much... but the S-D junction will.

Sometimes it makes sense to help this parasitic MOSFET diode by connecting a parallel Schottky diode across the D-S junction.  Because the Schottky diode has a lower voltage drop (0.2V) than the parasitic MOSFET diode, the Schottky diode will offload most of the current from the parasitic MOSFET diode, effectively preventing its conduction and associated power dissipation as well as reverse recovery time penalty, when the reverse pulse ends.

On the other hand sometimes it makes sense to block the action of the parasitic MOSFET diode by connecting another diode in series with the Drain, so that reverse current is blocked from flowing through the MOSFET diode and its S-D junction.  This effectively turns the MOSFET into an unidirectional switch. The forward voltage drop of such external series diode also prevents forward conduction below 0.6V and wastes power when current flows through the MOSFET's S-D junction in the forward direction (approximately 6Watts for each 10Amps of  Drain current).

Finally, a Zener diode (or a TVS diode) across the S-G junction of a MOSFET is a true protection diode, because it forces the voltage across this junction to stay within limits of -0.6Volts and +ZenerVolts (usually more than +20V or -20V across S-G junction will kill the MOSFET).
