I do get bored looking at this circuit boards

The one on the left is the TL494 with the mosfet driver and 8pin MC34063 to boost voltage for the mosfet driver let's assume 18volts for the IGBTs gates.

The circuit on the right is the TL494 with the interrupter circuit  which is a replication of Akula circuit shown in his video.

    Could the flat wire coil that is wound over the Kacher's secondary coil, be connected only to the output side of that secondary coil, to possibly add something to the output?

   Ruslan's HV looks very strong, unlike the HV on Akula's device. But, it's hard to dispute the power output from Ruslan's recent video, brightly lighting up all those bulbs.
   I still don't understand how the push-pull fets on Ruslan's device can handling the Kw draw, without overheating.  As, I think that the IRFP260N are only rated at about 280 watts.  My fets get hot even on just 200 to 300 watt loads, when the bulbs are shining bright. The better I tune the device for best output levels, the hotter the fets get.   
  Notice how he does NOT leave the second bank of light bulbs on for very long, before disconnecting them, and leaving only the first bank of bulbs on. What does that mean?
  Anyways,  just some thoughts...

Nick,
The FETs are not pumping 4kW there. The secondary process inside one wire transmission line does. The Tesla top load plus grenade coil is inductive capacitor under high voltage there. The discharge of it can create strong enough helping force to inductor underneath which is already having high tension with current flow.
