I have the same the issue as well lighting a 220volt on 60watt bulb which the output was very dim compared to a 1000watt 220volt Halogen bulb.

Looks like "Impedance matching" is gonna play vital role in our future successful replication of ou device beside getting resonance. ;)



Cap in photo is 2 x 220nF in parallel. However, 0.1uF works slightly better.

Well done, now finally you are close to what GeoFusion wanted to show. The prolonged lighting up of 1 kW rated bulbs load from small battery is the target.. :)

   I did however really want be able to light the two or three 100 watt bulbs closer to grid lumin levels. So, I tried to connect two 12v batteries to the Mazilli circuit in series for a run at 24v. Well... that was not a good idea, as both IRF510 fets blew up in a fraction of a second, like a firecraker right in my face.  So, I don't see this working at 24v, when using the IRF510.  Just in case someone wants to know. Ha! 
  Looks like I have to wait for my parts order, or look for the bigger IRF 250 or 250N elsewhere.
  I did however obtain another 12 7 aH battery for the 24v test in the future. And also made the flyback core transformer using the center tapped coils, both windings are 10 windings, but one side is center tapped.
  I just want to remind anyone trying this circuit using transistors (like Grum), that I was only able to light a 7 watt 110v bulb using transistors, on the same battery, and yoke core. So, Geo is right, transistors don't work well for this purpose.

  Speaking of Geo,  love on the Island must have gotten to him, or maybe it was the "men in black".
