AG, I fail to see the logic in your response to my post, i guess it was just a general post you wanted to throw out.



Anyway, i have added a little video to my above post to show the delay effect i have with this added TC4093 chip.
Guess i need to delay the trailing edge of the TL494 pulse, not the leading edge as it is doing now.

Any suggestion on how to do that (if even possible) are appreciated.

Itsu not realy but both  to get the toroid to do it's thing it was biffilar wound and the turns kept to a minimum and the copper wire has to be experimented with to get it to saturate then it will take off because thats what your describing, also there are 2 ways to get the TL494 to operate one with square waves and another with large current spikes and a long dead time. Notice the aquarium   and how it spark gap operates I think Hoppy thinks it's a joke as he calls it eye candy or is it ??

Hi Nick. No one can say for certain, but I am inclined to think that Kapanadze used the spark gaps 
(in his early devices anyway) to create HV impulses. It seems to me that whatever Kapanadze is
doing it is possibly even more simple and more efficient than what Daly and Akula did. I am basing this on
how Kapandze's early devices appeared. This is assuming Kapanadze's devices are genuine of course, which I am
inclined to think is the case.

   We've seen a couple of different people obtaining amazing outputs using just a Kacher circuit and some coils without a spark gap and still able to output several kilowatts. Supposed to be knock offs of Tariels devices.
   But, the mystery continues for us, still.

i added also a TC4093BP behind the TL494, like can be seen in the red circle below.
But allthough i indeed can delay the TL494 signals quite a bit, i cannot make them to be wider, like more then the 44% duty cycle coming from the TL494.

So how did you manage to increase the TL494 duty cycle from its max. 44% to your 49.8% seen in your above post?
