So where does this excess power come from? There has to be a flow so what is the source?

It is just excess power.  It is floating around everywhere just waiting to find a spark somewhere so it can appear.  I just lit my Zippo lighter a minute ago and, when I used the roller against the flint, I created a spark which released God knows how much excess energy which caused the wick to ignite.  I mean, it actually burst into flame and gave off a lot of heat.  I quickly closed the lid on the lighter to avoid causing a rift in the space-time continuum.

I am just warning you, the energy released by these sparks is massive and hard to control.

Excess power can enter the circuit from the ionized air between the sparking commutator electrodes.

Current flowing through the ionized air dissipates energy.  Some leaves as heat, the rest as RF.

I have decided to open source the attached circuit because I think it is relevant
to the discussion in this thread. I have modified my old Figure-8 circuit with a
shorting coil on the output. My shorting coil is shorted by a transistor. The shorting
is 180 degrees out of faze with the input oscillator. I have not done any output
measurements on this circuit, and will probably never do. One thing is for sure,
the 3,5 Watt LED bulb on the output is very bright with only approx. 0,3 Watt input
to the circuit. Circuit runs on 3 Volt input.

Do you know of the MEG setup of Tom Beardon's?
We know that the magnetic field is removed from that laminated block on the bottom of your setup,and long enough that the laminated steel block can escape the hold of that magnetic field. What if there was a coil wrapped around the center of that laminated block?. The magnetic field would be first removed from that laminated block/coil combo,and if the block could only drop say 5mm,when the current flow to the 2 coils is disconnected,the laminated block/coil combo would be attracted back to the laminated H core by the magnetic field,and once again current would flow through the laminated block coil.

So current is sent to the two coils on the H block setup,the magnetic field stop's flowing through the laminated block/coil combo,and current now flows through that coil. Current stops flowing through the two coils on the H block,and the magnetic field pulls the steel laminated block/coil combo back to the H block laminated core,and once again current flows through the coil on the laminated block. You now have an AC current flowing through that coil on the laminated block over each cycle of the H block. You now rectify this AC current flow,and catch it in a cap. You need only 8mJ to achieve  COP>+ once you can recapture that 50% of energy via the inductive kickback from the two coils on the H core. This is of course in regards to your posted video above.
