If it weakened then its real mcoy I think.your city temp is very close to the ferro point so I think your room temp is perfect for experimentos.don't worry about strengths right now let's chek if it can cause changes in temperature at a contact point by reading volts

This is the setup that's worth a try.the n is the neo.the g is the gadi.the v is the v-meter(microvolts set).dots are two wires probes

A iron crock-clip on one side the gadi coin can be pulled into place by the neo field going thru coin on other side.contacts should press nice like this
